2nd Grade Math
Our comprehensive Online 2nd Grade Math Class aligns with educational standards and provides a solid foundation in key math concepts through engaging activities. Students will explore number sense, mastering reading, writing, and comparing numbers up to 1,000, and enhance their addition and subtraction skills with two- and three-digit numbers. They will delve into geometry by identifying and comparing 2D and 3D shapes, and learn measurement concepts like length, weight, volume, and time to the nearest five minutes. The course introduces basic multiplication and division, develops pattern recognition and algebraic thinking, and builds a strong math vocabulary. Are these group classes?
Yes, the majority of our classes are group sessions. However, all group classes begin with individual one-on-one sessions with the teacher. We do not place students in the same group until we are confident that their skill levels match and that combining classes will benefit all participants. This ensures a tailored learning experience and maximizes each student's potential.
Are these classes on campus or online?
All our classes at Sakina School are conducted online. Our teachers are highly trained to make online classes engaging and to maintain students' concentration throughout the session. We employ traditional teaching methods, where instructors use a virtual whiteboard for class lectures, ensuring an interactive and effective learning experience.
